Support Groups

  • Peer Support Groups are facilitated by individuals with lived experience who can relate to the challenges faced by living with a mental illness. They are located throughout Maricopa County, including Yarnell (For adults 18+). There are 11 groups in Phoenix, Glendale, Peoria, Sun City West, Goodyear, Scottsdale, Mesa, and Yarnell.   • Family Support Groups are a free monthly meeting of caregivers of individuals with a mental illness where family members can talk frankly about their challenges and help one another through their learned wisdom. These meetings are facilitated by trained NAMI members in affiliates across Arizona. http://namiaz.com/page13/index.html

  • Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance hold support groups for those with mood disorders. They are free and are open to anyone. www.dbsaalliance.org
