Support groups provide a forum for mutual acceptance, understanding and self-discovery. Peer Support Groups provide free information, education, empowerment, and support to adults diagnosed with a mental illness as well as their family members and loved ones. While Peer Support Groups should not be considered as a substitute for treatment, they can often be a complement to treatment.

There is no charge or registration requirement to attend MHA’s Peer  Support Groups.  Because this listing is updated periodically and the groups are subject to change, you are encouraged to contact us at (480) 994-4407 to verify meeting times and dates.  The peer support groups are facilitated by trained mental health consumers and focus on adult consumer issues.

(7th St. & Indian School) From Indian School, go north on 7th St. Make your 2nd left into the VA parking lot (across the street from DJ's Convenience Store).  Park in the NE Parking Lot (to the right when you turn in). You will see a tan & white bldg. Just to the right of the bldg. ia a walkway that leads to an outside covered seating area.  Go down this walkway to the automatic doors on the left & go inside. Make the 1st left past the elevators & then K-112 is the first room on the left.

The church is across the street from the clocktower. From the courtyard of the church, follow signs to the meeting rooms in the courtyard. The group meets in room #1.

Go in main entrance and either ask for directions at Information Desk or veer to the left & go down hallway about 100 yds. past the Women's Diagnostic Services. Then the 1st classroom on the left is the Ironwood Room.
