Mental Health America of Arizona (MHAAZ) plays a key role as the information center for responding to the mental health care needs in our community. MHAAZ offers most of its resources and materials FREE to individuals and families, as well as schools, organizations and businesses.

Arizona law supports qualified charitable and educational organizations by allowing individuals state income tax credits of up to $400 annually for charitable contributions to them. MHAAZ is proud to be recognized as a qualified tax credit organization. Your membership in MHAAZ will allow us to continue to offer several programs that benefit individuals and families living with a mental illness, as well as the greater community through:

• Information and resource services
• Peer support groups
• Assistance for children, youth, and adults with mental disorders working their way through the behavioral health system
• Depression awareness education and suicide prevention projects, access to mental health care, avenues to services and supports for families with a family member with a mental condition
• Mental health education
• Depression Screenings and Health Fair presentations
• Many other important programs affecting our families, friends, and colleagues across the state
• Advocacy
• Legislative Awareness
• Seeds of Success Symposium – held annually is a two-day education event. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the symposium. The theme for this year’s event is Quality if Life Across the Life Span. Each year this event brings together consumers, family members and mental health professionals to address behavioral health care issues in Arizona.
