Access
Access to proper mental health treatment services is important to MHAAZ and something we strive to improve throughout Arizona.
MHAAZ maintains a list of community resources such as counseling, Support Groups, substance abuse treatment, suicide prevention, housing, educational services for children with mental health issues, and national professional organizations. Most of these services are on a sliding scale fee basis, and some offer bilingual services, as well.
Maricopa County Emergency Service

- Do you have health insurance?
- If you do, have you contacted your insurance company to inquire about mental health benefits?
- Are you currently being seen by a therapist, psychiatrist, general practitioner, etc.?
- What other agencies have you contacted?
- Are you able to pay out-of-pocket?
- County of residence?
- Do you have transportation issues? Can you get to locations some distance away from where you live?
